Victron MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70/95 120V Inverter-Charger

The Multiplus-II 48/5000 Inverter-Charger is ideal for many of our customers.

It is a very popular unit for those needing a moderate amount of electrical power.

It can provide up to 5000 Watts continuously to resistive loads, such as a water heater or oven, and many appliances.

For inductive loads, such as motors, pumps, most heating and air conditioning unit, the rating is 4000 watts (technically to an inductive load with a Power Factor of 0.8).

If the ambient temperature is very hot, then the above ratings are lowered.

For 120 Volt systems, just one unit is suitable, if the wattage is under 5000 Watts (Resistive) and 4000 Watts (Inductive).

For 120/240 systems, two units are necessary.

If one starts with just one or two units, as appropriate, and their electrical needs increase in the future, then additional units can be added to increase your power output.

These Inverter-Charges can be use in a completely off-grid situation.
Or the gird can be connected to these units to charge your batteries when solar is not sufficient.

In an off-grid situation, one can connect a generator to the AC input of these units.

In a situation when you are on-grid, with the grid connected to your units, and you want to have a generator for when the grid fails and solar is insufficient, the Victron Quattro is a getter choice.
